Winding Road Classics loves to hunt for projects. Online and in the field, we can help you find the car of your dreams and build it to your specs. Anyone can look on eBay and do Google searches, but sometimes it is hard to discern the worth of what you find. We have the knowledge and the time to find the right car, the right parts, and figure out how to get it home. We can also inspect a potential purchase and give you a reasonable figure to help you do your own bargain hunting.
We can also help you with the design and style of your project. For example, an original Model A Ford had a maximum speed of about 65 miles per hour, with a comfortable speed about 45-50 miles per hour. Additionally, they had mechanical brakes. While these were sufficient for the time period and the slower avg. speeds, they simply are not pleasurable in these days. We want to be able to cruise on the freeway at speed, and to be able to stop in a safe distance.
On the other end of the spectrum are the highly customized show cars. We love to look at these works of modern art at shows. These cars have modern engines, transmissions, and brake systems, but they are often so low to the ground, or so finely detailed and finished, the average person can't enjoy driving them because of the cost to repair a rock chip or damage from other road hazards.
Winding Road Classics will help in your search for free if the car is going to be restored in our shop. We can help with research for a specific project or to figure out details of your beloved family classic at $20/hour. This includes a report with the history of your car and the production figures and unique details of your vehicle.
